  • Experience. We have 9 years HTML experience and 2 years CSS & PHP experience. In the last 2 years we have designed 35+ professional websites.
  • Small Businesses Understanding. We are a small business and we know how it feels to be the little guy and still make a mark on today's web.
  • Competitive Pricing. We price our plans to be affordable and we cut the fluff which means you won't pay for services that you don't need.
  • Honesty and Values. We have strong beliefs and those morals shine through in our business. We hold ourselves to a high standard of excellency and pride in our work.
  • 100% Satisfaction. We have a 100% satisfaction rating from all of our past customers and we promise to make you just as happy with our services.
  • Basic Website Design is for use with any of our Basic Shopping Carts or if you need a single-file HTML/CSS template (for use if you have website that is hard-code HTML or if the CMS uses a single-file template).
  • Ultra Website Design is for use with PHP-based shopping carts or CMS. These are much more complex designs and require many more graphics and tweaking.
  • Two to three weeks from start to finish. Once you submit your order and download our design questionnaire we start right away. We understand that it is important to get your business up a running or have that makeover as soon as possible.
  • Easy navigation. Complex navigation never leads anywhere good, at least that’s how your visitors will feel. Keeping menus and site navigation simple and easy to find will be best for your website.
  • Inviting and easy on the eye. Website graphics and setup should have clean lines and give your visitors a relaxed browsing experience. Overpowering colors or graphics will detract from website content and deter visitors.
  • Less is always more. Functionality should always serve a greater purpose. Do not add things to your site because your competitor has it or because it’s the “cool” thing to have. Site visitors know when you are begging for attention and when you are actually getting it.
  • Know your audience. Who you target with your site is important when you consider design and site functions.
  • Leave room to grow. Do not limit your self or your site by choosing a cart or CMS with limits. Always keep tomorrow in mind when making your site plans.
  • Custom website copyrights (design and graphics) belong to the website owner once all design fees are paid. Pre-made templates and other graphics that are not created custom will remain copyrighted by SPS. Please read our Terms for more information.
  • Joomla. Joomla is a powerful open-source CMS that is well supported and developed. It has a simple design structure and is easy to manage. There are over 3,000 Joomla extensions that can provide functionality to your site, including several eCommerce options should you ever decided to sell products or services on your site.
  • OpenCart. OpenCart is an open-source shopping cart that is packed with great features that are far less confusing than the more robust shopping carts out there (i.e. Zen Cart or osCommerce).
  • Yes. If you want to keep your current setup, use existing graphics or just change a few little things, we can help! Contact us for more details.
  • You get that honor. Who knows your products or site’s goal more than its owner? No one, not even SPS. So who better to maintain your website than you? But don’t worry, we won’t leave you to struggle through alone. We offer help guides, tutorials and all sorts of technical service to help you learn how to manage your website. All of the carts and CMS that we design for also offer help forums and tech support.
  • Content pages, yes. Products, no. Content pages can sometimes require setup to work properly. They may need formatting so that they match the rest of your site. If you know how to do this, great! If not we do offer Content Page Setup that is priced on a per-page basis. You provide the content; we insert it and set it up.  Products are different. We cannot know a third of what you know about your products, probably less, so it is very important for you to learn how to input products into your store so the information is accurate and targets your audience perfectly. This will save you time and money.
  • We keep a backup of our customers’ artwork, HTML/CSS and other files that we create. We DO NOT backup your website files or content. If you need assistance creating a backup of your site contact your hosting provider.
  • FireFox 3.  I enjoy the functions and usability of FireFox.  I have all other major browsers installed on my computer (see below) but I prefer FireFox above all others.
  • I test every website, blog and template in the most current version of these popular browsers: Chrome, FireFox, Internet Explorer, Safari, Opera, Netscape and Flock.  I run on a Windows platform so sites may differ slightly when viewed on OS/Mac.

Valid CSS! Yes!  As of February 2010 we validate all of our custom website designs and template installs with WC3's Validation Tools.  If you would like to use these tools you can find them here.  It is as simple as typing in your website URL.
  • Yes to both. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and PayPal.
  • Not at this time.
  • Flash. I am currently working on learning how to create Flash websites. It’s a daunting thing to learn (for me anyway) so its slow going.
  • Vector graphics. I greatly enjoy creating graphics and I would love to take a class or two to improve my skills.
  • PHP. Honestly writing PHP scares the willies out of me so I will continue to work on this until I conquer it.
  • Notepad++. It’s a great text editor and its what I’m use to using.
  • Illustrator CS4. It feeds my need (or my customers’ need) for graphics.
  • Paint Shop Pro X2. It’s what I’m use to using to edit photos and create simple graphics. I’m a creature of habit and can’t see the point of wasting time to learn Photoshop (though I do love Actions).
  • By hand. I’ve done it old-school since the 90’s (that really makes me feel old!) and that’s how I will always do it.
  • Its free to use and edit as needed based on the demands of your site.  Open source software is defined on Wikipedia as software whose source code is published and made available to the public, enabling anyone to copy, modify and redistribute the source code without paying royalties or fees.
  • Open source code evolves through community cooperation. These communities are composed of individual programmers as well as very large companies.  In other words most software labeled open source does not come with free tech support - you (or your designer) must refer to communities or forums for bug fixes, errors or help when needed.
  • Open source software (be it CMS or shopping cart) is almost always uploaded to your own website hosting servers which also means that you only pay for the hosting, not the use of the software also.
  • Open source software is not limited in functionality, but adding new a function is not as easy as turning it on or off.  Extra functions come in the form of 'extensions', 'add-ons', 'modules' or 'plug-ins'.  Some are free and others charge a small fee.
